Adjusting the cuff
1. Place the cuff on a flat table with the velcro on the bottom side.
Pass the end of the cuff through the metal loop to form a circle. The
velcro closure is now facing outwards.
2. Place the cuff on the upper part of the left arm so that the tube
points in the direction of the lower part of the arm.
3. Wrap the cuff around the arm as shown in the picture. Make sure
that the distance between the outlet of the cuff tube and the elbow
joint is approximately 2 to 3 cm.
4. Tighten the free end of the cuff and close the cuff by attaching the
Velcro.
5. The cuff should fit snugly over your upper arm so that you can fit
2 fingers between the cuff and your armpits.
Warning
: Any clothing that restricts access to the arm must be
removed.
6. Secure the cuff with the Velcro so that it sits comfortably without
being too tight. Place your arm on a table (palm up) so that the cuff
is at the same height as the heart. Do not bend the tube.
Warning
: If it is not possible to fit the cuff to your left arm, it can
also be placed on the right. All measurements should be performed
using the same arm.
Measurement procedure:
Once the cuff is correctly positioned, the measurement can begin :
1. Press the START / STOP button, all the symbols appear on the
screen. Then the pump starts to inflate the cuff, the increasing
pressure in the cuff is shown on the display.
2. When the correct pressure is reached, the pump will stop and the
pressure will gradually decrease. The cuff pressure is displayed. In
the event that the inflation is not sufficient, the device will
automatically re-inflate to a higher pressure.
3. When the device detects the signal, the heart symbol
will start
to flash on the display.
4. When the measurement is complete, systolic, diastolic, and pulse
rates are shown on the display.
5. The measured values remain displayed until you switch off the
device. If no button is pressed for a period of 3 minutes, the device
turns off by itself to save energy.
Warning
: The symbol
will be displayed if an irregular heartbeat
is detected during the measurement
