The CX15 is a high power, high definition, 2
-
way passive loudspeaker
designed for both portable and fixed installation applications. It is part
of OEM’s full line of CX Series premium loudspeakers which are
designed to provide unmatched sonic quality at very high sound
pressure levels.
OEM Audio has designed the CX15 with a compliment of premium
quality transducers including a 15” cast frame woofer with a 4” edge
wound voice coil for maximum heat transfer and efficiency. The 3”
compression driver (2” exit) incorporates an edge wound aluminum
wire voice coil with a high strength aluminum dome and a specially
designed Mylar surround structure.
The Hi-Q crossover network provides superior overload protection yet
preserves its sound character even when the CX15 is driven with
highly dynamic program material. This results in remarkable clarity
and consistency of the CX15 even when driven at very high levels.
Two NL4 connectors are provided for input and loop output which
are mounted into the enclosure’s recessed rear plate.
For pole mounting, a pole mount socket is integrated into the bottom
of the cabinet. To accommodate a variety of mounting applications,
the CX15 is equipped with twelve threaded M10 mounting points.

optimized bracing to minimize resonances and improve damping.
Cabinet surfaces are finished in a highly durable two-part polyuria
coating. The CX15 enclosure provides the strength and durability
needed for a high degree of safety and reliability whether it is used in
portable or fixed installation applications.
Heavy duty, powder

coated steel handles are integrated into the sides
of the enclosure at its center of gravity to lower the effort of
transporting and mounting the CX15s.
The CX15 addresses a wide range of applications from live sound to
commercial installations due to its compact size and flexible
mounting hardware. It can be pole mounted or stacked with OEM’s
18SUB subwoofer for full range performance. The CX15 is sonically
matched with the other CX loudspeakers for perfect integration into
complete sound systems.
