*3* ADJUST 04 Image registration adjustments
Item Description Settings Remarks
H-ADJ To fine adjust the CCD reading start position (main scan-
ning direction; book mode)
An increment shifts the read start position to the right.
0~500 unit: 1 mm.

V-ADJ To adjust the image reading start position (sub scanning
direction)
A higher setting delays the registration ON timing.
0~1000 unit: 1 mm.

RESIST Use it to adjust the registration clutch ON timing (leading
edge margin).

2.5 ± 1.0
mm.

SHP Use it to make adjustments if images on paper picked up
from the lower feeding assembly (2nd side of over-
lay/two-sided copies) are often displaced to the rear or
front.

If the displacement is to the rear, decrease the value (in
units of 23, a single unit being equivalent to 1 mm.)

If the displacement is to the front, increase the value (in
units of 23, a single unit being equivalent to 1 mm.)
