– Checking the batteries: Cover the photo sensor
of the light. The light switches on.
– Remove defective batteries (
batteries – p. 14) and replace with new batteries.
Ensure the correct polarity!

Never use normal batteries!
• If the outside temperature is very low, the volt-
age of the batteries drops. This can reduce the
output of the light.
• To increase the lifespan of the batteries, charge
and discharge them fully in an external charger
three times before first use.
Storing, transport
Cleaning and care
– Follow the manufacturer’s instructions when
using cleaning and care products.
– For cleaning, use a dry brush on the side parts
and the sun roof. Remove more persistent dirt
using warm soapy water and a brush. Always
allow to dry out before storage.
– Regularly check the connections.
– Wipe the solar cell regularly with a slightly damp
cloth.

– The product is sensitive to frost. Store the prod-
uct for the winter where it is dry and well venti-
lated.
Disposal
Disposing of the product
Appliances which are labelled with the adja-
cent symbol must not be disposed of in
household rubbish. You must dispose of
such old electrical and electronic equipment
separately.
Please check with your local authority about the pos-
sibilities for correct disposal.
Through separate disposal you send old equipment
for recycling or for other forms of re-use. You will
thus help to avoid in some cases that damaging
material gets into the environment.
Disposal of batteries
Disused batteries and accumulators do not belong in
domestic refuse; they must be disposed of as pre-
scribed by regulations.
– Bring batteries which are no longer usable to the
battery collection point of the dealer or of your
local authority.
Disposing of the packaging
The packaging consists of cardboard and
correspondingly marked plastics that can
be recycled.
– Make these materials available for
recycling.
Malfunctions and troubleshooting
If you can’t fix the fault yourself, contact your nearest
vendor. Please be aware that any improper repairs
will also invalidate the warranty and additional costs
may be incurred.
