Use
•
Open the lid and fill with cold water.
•
Check the water level and do not exceed the MAX marking (0.5 litre).
•
Close the lid and press it properly.
•
Switch on the water boiler by plugging the switch to a wall outlet and press
the switch on the handle and the signal lamp will light.
•
Never position the water boiler under cupboards when in use.
NOTE!
If the water boiler is activated by mistake without water, it will automatically
switch off. In such case, unplug and leave the appliance to cool for 3-4 minutes.
Make sure that there is always enough water in the boiler before you switch it
on again.
Warning! Risk of fire burns.
Never open the lid during use.
The water boiler automatically switches off when the water is boiling (the signal
lamp will go off).
IMPORTANT!
Always unplug from the wall socket after use.
You can even turn off the water boiler manually before the water is boiling by
unplugging from the wall outlet. Note that the appliance starts automatically the
next time the appliance is plugged to a wall outlet, as the on/off button is already
activated.
Warning! The housing of the water boiler gets very hot during use.
Descaling and cleaning
•
The water boiler needs regular descaling.
•
Do not boil more water than you need. This will save energy due to a shorter
boiling time and you will be sure that the boiler is emptied each time, which
reduces the building-up of limestone.
• Check at regular intervals whether the boiler needs descaling. In case of a
heavy build-up of limestone, use a decalcifier, citric acid or similar that you
can buy in the store (do not use household vinegar). It is important to follow
the instructions on the package, and remember to bring the water boiler to
a boil a couple of times subsequently and to pour out the water.
• Repeat the descaling procedure if necessary and descale the appliance more
often, if necessary.
•
The descaling procedure will be more efficient if you heat the liquid up to
about 50-60°C.
