Cleaning and maintenance
Always shut off and unplug the appliance before cleaning.
1. Remove hair that has been caught in the clipper.
2. Remove the comb attachment.
3. Use the brush to clean the blade.
4. Press the thumb on the front uppermost part of the blade to remove the blade
from the housing. Press the cleaning lever to open the blade and sweep away
hair that remains between the blades. The blade will pop off. Put 2-3 drops of
the oil to grease the blade. This should be done now and then to keep the blade
in good condition.
NOTE! The enclosed oil can be dangerous to consume
and should be kept out of reach of children.
5. Put the blade back on by placing the blade’s catch in the housing. Press down
the blade until it is in position. It will click when locked in right position.
The hair clipper is equipped with a long life NIMH battery. Observe that the battery
should be removed before throwing away the product and should not be thrown
In order to remove the battery, take off the comb attachment and blade. Unscrew
the two screws that are positioned below the blade and also the screw at the back
of the clipper. When that is done it is possible to separate the housing and to cut
the cord to the battery and take it out.
Environmental considerations and disposal of batteries
When disposing of batteries it is essential to take the environment into
consideration. Used batteries must never be disposed of with domestic
garbage. Used batteries must be returned to one of the authorized
collection points. Batteries must be removed
from the appliance before it is disposed of. Also take care that the batteries
are not expired or become worn-out since there may then be a risk that
the batteries will leak acid. Check the validity date printed on the batteries.
Disposal of the appliance
Legislation requires that all electrical and electronic equipment must be
collected for reuse and recycling. Electrical and electronic equipment
marked with the symbol indicating separate collection of such equipment
must be returned to a municipal waste collection point.
Warranty
Claim according to valid law. Machine stamped receipt shall be enclosed if one
wishes to make a complaint. The appliance shall be returned to the store where
it was purchased.
