desired temperature lights. Choose the temperature that best fits your type of
hair, see recommended temperatures later in the text.
When you use the appliance for the first time, we recommend that you start at
the lowest temperature.
150-170˚C – thin and fine hair/coloured hair
190-210˚C – normal hair
230˚C – thick and very sensitive hair
Put the plate straightener on an even, heat-resistant surface during heating.
The temperature button flashes until the set temperature is reached and
afterwards the light will be on constantly. You will hear a beep sound as an
indication that the plate straightener is ready for use.
Keep the straightener at a safe distance from your skin and eyes. Use a mirror.
Do not take hair sections of more than 5 cm. Spread the hair section between
the plates and press them together. Take care that your fingers do not touch
the hot plates. Now pull the plate straightener downwards towards the tips in
an even movement. To get the best result, start close to the bottom of the hair
and work your way towards the tips.
NOTE!
The plate straightener reaches very high temperatures. Make sure that
the hot plates of the straightener do not touch the scalp, your face, neck or
hands. Do not use the plate straightener for wigs, hair extensions or artificial
hair without having tested the appliance on a small section of hair, as there
may be a risk that the hair will melt.
Automatic switch-off
The plate straightener comprises a safety device that switches it off after about
1 hour. The display goes off and you hear a beep sound. The automatic switch-
off function is an additional safety function, but as a main rule, you should
always switch off the appliance by pressing the on/off button. Always unplug
after use.
Cleaning and maintenance
•
Turn
off the straightener by pressing the switch. You will hear a beep sound
and the display goes off. Put the appliance on a heat-resistant surface to
cool completely before cleaning.
•
Note that the use of chemicals could damage the colour of the surfaces of
the appliance.
•
Make sure that the straightener is out of the reach of children. The
straightener reaches very high temperatures during use and it therefore
takes some time for it to cool completely.
•
Never immerse the straightener and the cord in water of any other liquid
and be sure that it does not get in direct contact with water.
•
Be careful that water does not penetrate into the housing of the
straightener!
