The torsion spring that is used to secure the trim assembly to the tile
bridge is shipped separately (to prevent damage) and must be installed
prior to the first use. To install torsion springs, first detach the mounting
plate from the trim face by removing the four (4) thumb nuts.

Install the two (2) torsion springs by: A) pinching the tips together, and B)
inserting the tips into the rectangular openings on each end of the mounting
bracket.

The Mist 43 AP should be aligned with the Oberon mounting plate so that
the flange on the bottom of the Oberon mounting plate is opposite the Et-
hernet ports on the AP. All variations get attached directly to the Oberon
mounting plate. Attach the Mist access point to the Oberon mounting plate
by inserting the mounting feet on the bottom of the Mist access point into
the keyhole slots and sliding the AP to lock into position, as shown.

Cut a 11.25” x 12.25” opening in the "hard lid" ceiling (NOTE: special cutting
tools may be required).

Place the
backbox
on a work surface. Remove one of the 1” knockouts on
the side of the enclosure and install the 1” trade size conduit connector (the
side on which the cable clamp is to be installed will be determined by the
location the enclosure is to be installed and direction from which conduit or
cable will be brought into the enclosure)
Attach the Speed Link support wire to the hasp in the center of the back box
and then to a permanent structure within the ceiling.

NOTE:
A surface mount box (or biscuit jack) and equipment cord can be
conveniently mounted inside the Model 1042. (Non
-
plenum rated cables
can be used inside a plenum rated enclosure). Use an adhesive backed
surface mount box. Consider bend radius of horizontal cable and equip-
ment cord when attaching the surface mount box.
Insert the Ethernet cable through the conduit connector previously in-
stalled in the enclosure. Insert the box into the opening in the ceiling and
using either a hand held screw driver or an electric screw driver set to the
lowest torque setting, rotate the screws located at the four corners. Ro-
tating the screws will cause the dogleg clip to rotate into position (#2
shown above) and travel along the length of the screw, tightening the clip
against the drywall. Caution, do not over tighten the screws as it may
damage the flange of the enclosure. See OSHPD approved drawing
where applicable.
NOTA:
Una caja de montaje en superficie (o conector para galletas) y el
cable del equipo se pueden montar convenientemente dentro del Modelo
1042. (Los cables sin capacidad de plenum se pueden usar dentro de un
recinto con capacidad de plenum). Use una caja de montaje en superfi-
cie con adhesivo. Considere el radio de curvatura del cable horizontal y
del cable del equipo cuando conecte la caja de montaje en superficie.
Inserte el cable Ethernet a través del conector de conducto instalado
previamente en el gabinete. Inserte la caja en la abertura del techo /
pared y con un destornillador un destornillador eléctrico ajustado al par
más bajo, gire los tornillos ubicados en las cuatro esquinas. Girar los
tornillos hará que el clip dogleg gire a su posición (se muestra el #2 arri-
ba) y se desplazará a lo largo del tornillo, apretando el clip contra el pan-
el de yeso. Precaución, no apriete demasiado los tornillos, ya que puede

Clamp the firestop grommet around the cable far enough to allow attach-
ment to the access point (8"

10"). Insert the grommet into the conduit
fitting.
