PREPARATION
Installing/ Replacing The Batteries
1. Remove the battery cover.
2. Insert four "AA" batteries and ensure correct polarity (as marked inside the battery compartment).
• If the battery low symbol ( ) appears on the display, turn off the monitor, then replace all batteries at the
same time.
• The measurements continue to be stored in memory even after the batteries are replaced.
System Settings
1. Date/Time Setting
• With the unit switched off, simultaneously press the
MEM
button and
START
button for 2-3 seconds. The entry for
the month flashes.
• Press the
MEM
button repeatedly until the desired number for the month appears.
• Press the
START
button to accept the setting. Now the entry for the day flashes.
• Proceed in exactly the same manner when entering the day, hour and minute.
• In each case, press the
MEM
button to select and the
START
button to accept the entry.
The LCD will alternately display the date & time. The time is expressed in 12-hour time format (AM/PM).
Once you change the batteries, the date and time must be set again.

TESTING GUIDELINES
• Avoiding eating, exercising, and bathing/Showering 30 minutes prior to testing.
• Rest for at least 5 minutes prior to testing.
• Do not stand while testing. Sit in a relaxed position while keeping your wrist level with your heart.
• Avoid speaking or moving body parts while testing.
• While testing, avoid strong electromagnetic interference such as mobile phones and microwave ovens.
• Wait for 3 minutes or longer before re-testing.
• Try to measure your blood pressure at the same time each day for consistency.
• Test comparisons should only be made when the monitor is used on the same arm, in the same position, and at the
same time of day.
• This blood pressure monitor is not recommended for people with severe arrhythmia.
USING THE UNIT
Applying The Arm Cuff
1. Insert the cuff plug into the cuff socket to the main unit. (the left side of the unit)
2. Fit the cuff to the upper arm with the direction mark at the inner side.
3. Wrap the cuff:
• The bottom edge of the cuff should be 1-2cm (0.4 - 0.8 inches) above the elbow,

• Wrap the cuff with a gap of 1 or 2 fingers. Be careful that the cuff is not too tight.
• Close the Velcro fastener firmly.
The blood pressure can differ between the right arm and the left arm, and the measured blood pressure
values can be different. Obbomed recommends always using the same arm for measurement.
