Wintering
Empty the collection tank and store the device in a dry, frost-free area
. The stor-
age location must be inaccessible to children.
Malfunction resolution:
Follow the safety instructions (chapter 4).
The sludge vacuum has no suction
• The discharge hose is mounted incorrectly. The blocking flap must be located on
the free end of the discharge hose.
• The difference in height between the water level and the device is too large. The
device should be set up at water level.
The sludge vacuum loses suction power
• Sludge is lodged in the suction hose. Clean suction tube and suction hose.
• Sludge is lodged in the area of the blocking flap so that it does not close. Remove
sludge.
The collection tank does not empty and the sludge vacuum switches off
immediately after the emptying phase
• The collection tank cannot empty itself. Lay the discharge hose in such a manner
that there are no kinks. You must lay the discharge hose with a slight incline.
There should be practically no water remaining in the container after draining.
• Collection container and discharge hose are dirty. Remove sludge.
The sludge vacuum does not switch off automatically
• The float is not floating. Check the float for ease of movement.
Low suction power
The more tube used the higher the tube friction resistance. The suction power lessens.
To improve the suction power:
- Keep the suction line as flat as possible;
- Remove backflow flap on the nozzle.
