DC Panel
On this panel in the left column are the House battery
switch, Engine battery switch and Generator battery
switch. In the center are breakers and switches and on
the right are more DC circuit breakers and switches
Just as in your home, most of the switches are true
“circuit breakers”: they feed power to somewhere in the
boat where there is
another switch
which, in turn, turns
the item on and off. An example of this would be the
circuit breakers for the Electronics and trim tabs.
But some of the breakers also serve as the switch for the
item. An example of this would be the fresh water pump.
On the next page is the list of switches and how they’re used: (“B” means used as breaker, “S” means used as switch AND
breaker):

In addition to the switches on the DC panel, there is an Anchor Windlass switch to the right of the helm.
