Creating a New Array
1. The screen you will see upon initial configuration is the
“Define a New Array”
screen.
<Tab>
over to the “RAID Mode” item and press <Enter>. According to your configuration
requirements, select “Mirrored” (RAID 1), “Striped” (RAID 0), “Striped Mirror“ (RAID 0+1),
“Spanned” (JBOD), or “RAID 5” in the drop-down menu. Then hit
<Enter>
. The example
here is “RAID 0 (Striped)”.
2. Next,
<Tab>
over to the “Stripe Block” item and press
<Enter>
. You can select the stripe
block size for your array which will affect performance. It’s recommended that you select
“Optimal”. Press
<Enter>
.
