Considerations for use
This operating manual is intended for the users (group 1 and
group 2) and to the operator/owner of the brake test stands BT
610, 612, 640 and BT 642.
The
users of group 1
are instructed and briefed staff from the
automative engineering branch. -They must be instructed for
operating the brake test stand: e.g. by a training course held by
Nussbaum.
The
users of group 2
are especially trained staff from the
automative engineering branch. -They are authorized and entitled
to make safety tests (SP). —They were taught the required
professional and technical knowledge in special training courses
by brake manufacturers, e.g. Nussbaum or by vehicle manufactur-
ers. They are trained in using and operating the brake test stand
and in evaluating the brake test data.
The
operator/owner
is responsible for the general framework of
the test stand operation (e.g.: —prevention of accidents, routine
check test etc.).
Use in accordance with the regulations
The brake test stands BT 610, 612, 640 and 642 serve for
testing the brake systems on vehicles for which general inspec-
tions (MoT Inspections) are prescribed according to the Germ-
an law § 29 StVZO (motor vehicle traffic regulations) in
connection with Appendix VIII.
Avoid use not in accordance with the regulations!
Do not
perform brake tests on
motorcycles
without having
installed the covers and devices provided for this purpose.
Do not
start vehicle engines by means of drive motors of the
test rollers.
Drive the vehicle
slowly
into the roller set in order to avoid
unnecessary stresses.
Drive off the vehicles from the brake test stand
only
when the
test rollers are running.

The manufacturer draws your attention to the fact that the
motorcycle test device operation is not permitted for BT 6xx
above inspection pit.
Observe the safety notes for the operator/owner in section
2.3.
Do not

For outdoor installation:
Control cabinet weather-proofed and
control cabinet heating installed (connected to constant
power supply)

Functional range
from -20 °C to +40 °C (reduced measuring accuracy)
–
Measuring accuracy in the temperature range
from -10 °C to +40 °C
–
Test period:
In order to avoid excessive heating of the drive motors, the
following test cycle is recommended for high vehicle th-
roughput:
a brake of 5 minutes after 2 vehicles
