4. Unpacking and setting up
4.1 Unpacking
1. Take the individual parts out of the
pakkaging.
2. Check that the device is undamaged,
e.g.:
– Transportation damage
– broken housing parts
– broken glass cylinder
– broken heating elements
– other defects
If the device shows any damage or
defects, it should not be used.
3. Clean and disinfect the device before
using it for the first time (see “6. Clean-
ing and disinfecting“ on page 23).
4.2 Setting up
Note:
Where possible, set the device up
with a minimum distance of 1 m to the
patient to ensure the volume level is accept-
able to the patient.
Check that the device is at least 5
cm
away
from other appliances and objects to ensure
sufficient ventilation.
The device can be set up on a table or
mounted on a wall rail or stand using the fix-
ing clamp
4.2.1 Setting up on a table
1. Set the device up on a flat surface so
that it cannot tip over.
This surface should be clean, stable, flat
and dry.
2. Check that the air inlet
the air outlets
covered up. For this reason the surface
should not be soft.
4.2.2 Fixing to a wall rail or stand
can be used to fix the
device to a wall rail or stand.

1. Place the fixing clamp
on
the
wall
rail
or
a stand in a suitable position.
2. Tighten the fixing clamp using the
handle.
3. Check that the device carrier is screwed
in place securely with the fixing clamp.
4. Slide the holder
from above.
If you wish to attach the bottle warmer to a
stand, the device carrier must be turned
through 90°:
5. Release the screws.
6. Turn the device carrier through 90° so
that the pins are underneath.
7. Screw the device carrier back on
securely.
