Installation of NSR-2000U Reader

To connect NSR-2000U to your PC:
1. Turn on your PC.
2. Plug the USB cable into PC’s USB port.(See Fig.1)
3. To avoid wrong insertion, please note that the chip side of the smart card needs
to face the marking of the NSR2000U when you insert smart card. (See Fig.2)
Driver Installation:
1. Driver installation consists of two types of processes, including automatic or
manual.
2. For automatic driver installation, please go to http://www.nst.com.tw. Press
“English” button. Select “service”. Choose “SmartCard Reader Driver— wins 2000,
XP” or “SmartCard Reader Driver— wins 98, ME”. Start downloading driver
software. Then, double click the executable file of the driver. Your computer will
pop-up a window. Follow the guidance to complete the installation process.
3. For manual driver installation, please find the enclosed floppy disk and insert it
into floppy drive. Then, follow the system instructions to finish the installation
process.
Windows 98 (ME)
The orders of installation process:
1.Install Microsoft smart card base component (scbase.exe).
2.Install Microsoft smart card library (smclib.exe).
