MACHINE OPERATION
WARNING!
BE AWARE WATER
TEMPERATURE MAY EXCEED 200° F. USE
CAUTION WHEN OPERATING THIS
MACHINE.
SPOTTING PROCEDURES PRIOR TO
OPERATING MACHINE.
•
Soak up excess liquids with a towel.
•
Test cleaner on a small inconspicuous area to
make sure it will not damage the carpet fibers.
•
Apply appropriate spotter, following directions on
the bottle.
OPERATING THE MACHINE.
•
UNPLUG machine before attempting to fill with
water and position switch to the middle "OFF"
position.
•
Unscrew the solution tank cover (black lid at the
rear of the machine) and pour in 1 1/2-gallons of
the warmest water possible. (This will shorten
heating time).
•
BE SURE TO FILL WATER TO THE LID EDGE!
It will not heat unless entirely full.
•
Replace the lid and plug the machine into an
electrical outlet.
•
Toggle the power switch to "HEAT". The orange
light will come on indicating the heating cycle has
begun.
•
When water temperature reaches it’s maximum
temperature, the light will go off indicating the
machine is ready for use.
Note 110°F water heats to 200°F in 8 minutes.
•
Make sure the recovery tank lid (black lid in the
center of the machine) is on tight.
•
Toggle the power switch to "Vacuum".
•
Pull trigger to release water from nozzle until hot
water transfers through the length of solution hose.
•
Start at outside edges of stain and work toward the
center. Use a dabbing, not a rubbing action.
•
Repeat procedure if needed.
CAUTION!
DO NOT CONTINUE TO USE THE MACHINE
AFTER THE RECOVERY TANK IS FULL. THIS
WILL DAMAGE THE VACUUM MOTOR AND IS
NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY.
MAINTENANCE
Daily Maintenance
At the completion of
every use
you must perform
these simple procedures to ensure proper machine
operation and cleaning performance.
•
Toggle the Power Switch to the MIDDLE position
to turn both the vacuum motor and the solution
pump OFF.
•
DISCONNECT THE POWER CORD.
•
Move the machine to a designated wastewater
“DISPOSAL SITE”.
•
Disconnect the Hose Assembly from the machine.
•
Tip the Recovery Tank and drain through hose
connection port.
•
Tip the Solution Tank and drain unused water or
solution. Rinse the tank thoroughly of any debris or
cleaning chemical residue.
•
Unscrew the tank covers and set aside to allow for
air-drying and prevention of odor buildup.
•
Remove the spray tip (1/4 turn) from the upholstery
tool and put them in a glass or plastic container
with a solution of 25% vinegar and water overnight
to remove any chemical residue.
Note:
To flush out or clean the solution tank, hose
and spray tip, make a one-gallon solution of 25%
vinegar and warm water, and pour it into the solution
tank. Turn on the switch, spray until all of the
solution has run through the pump and spray tips to
remove any chemical residue. Failure to flush the
solution system will result in poor spray patterns and
corroded jet spray tips.
Weekly Maintenance
•
Verify that all daily maintenance has been done.
•
Sanitize the recovery tank to help prevent bacteria
and odor buildup.
•
Inspect the entire machine and accessories for
worn or damaged components. Repair or replace
components as required.
Monthly Maintenance
Verify that all weekly maintenance has been done.
Routine Maintenance
After 500 hours of operation the vacuum motor
carbon brushes must be inspected for wear by an
authorized service center. Failure to inspect motor
carbon brushes for wear can result in poor machine
performance and a reduction of motor service life.
Repair service for this machine must be performed by
an authorized service center. Repair service
performed by an unauthorized service companies will
void the machine warranty coverage.
