not locked

by placing pressure on the relevant rung.
− Please note that, when extending the ladder from top to bottom, the individual
sections only lock when you have extended the entire ladder.
Extending the Ladder
Extending the ladder by a few rungs
If you do not extend the entire length of the ladder, the block formation

consisting of the remaining, unextended rungs must be located at
the top end of the ladder with the protective caps

1. Set up the ladder on a solid and flat surface.
2. Stabilise the ladder by placing a foot on the stand

3. Pull the ladder to the desired length from the bottom, rung by rung
(see
Fig. D
).
The locking device automatically locks every section as soon as the relevant
rung

is extended to its maximum position.
4. Make sure that every ladder section is locked before you climb the ladder (see
“Locking device” section).
Extending the ladder up to its overall length
1. Set up the ladder on a solid and flat surface.
2. Stabilise the ladder by placing a foot on the stand 2.
3. Pull the ladder to the overall length from top to bottom, rung by rung (see
Fig.
E
and
F
).
Make sure that the ladder’s locking devices only lock once you have extended
the ladder to the overall length.
4. Make sure that every ladder section is locked before you climb the ladder (see
“Locking device” section).
Sliding the ladder together
Unlocking the bottom unlocking button (on the second rung from the
bottom), automatically unlocks and slides together all of the rungs in
the part of the ladder above this point. If you start at one of the top
rungs, only the rungs located above that point will unlock and the
rungs underneath need to be unlocked separately.
1. Make sure that the ladder is positioned on a solid and level surface.
2. Make sure that your fingers, hands and arms are at the height of the actuated
unlocking buttons 1 when sliding the ladder together.
3. Push both unlocking buttons on a rung towards the centre so that the red area
