USB 2.0 External Drive
NOTE:

The actual transfer speed of the external drive is depending on what USB port it is connected to. If the
USB port supports USB2.0, the external hard disk works with USB2.0 function (up to 480Mbits/sec); if the
USB port supports USB1.1 only, the external hard disk can only works with USB1.1 function (up to
12Mbits/sec).

Under Win95 and Win98, the USB device is not stable to work, we recommend using this external hard
disk with Windows 98SE (Second Edition) or the newer version of Windows operating systems.
Hardware Installation
FRONT PANEL OF THE DRIVE
The figures show the DVD-ROM drive. Your external drive may differ slightly from the figures shown,
however, the controls will operate as the same as the described below.
1. LED: This LED indicates the disc access status .
2. Eject Button: Press this button to eject the disc. To close
the disc tray, just gently push the front of the tray.
3. Emergency Eject: Push a small rod (paperclip) about
5cm long, through the Emergency Eject hole to eject the tray in case you cannot open the tray.
REAR PANEL OF THE DRIVE
1. Interface Connector: Connect the USB interface cable
here.
2. Power Jack (DC IN): If using external power, connect the
AC adapter lead here.
CABLES CONNECTION
1. Insert the USB cable into the Interface Connector of drive.
2. If you are using an AC adapter to powers this external drive,
connect the AC adapter lead to the Power Jack (DC IN) at the
rear panel of the drive, and then attach the AC adapter to the
AC power outlet.
