GUARANTEE OF SET-TOP BOX
We would like to thank you for the purchase you made . We are sure that you will be absolutely satisfied from your choice to be
connected with our PAY-TV network .
Your digital satellite decoder has undergone all the necessary technical controls . In the event of any failure of the digital
decoder, please contact the Customer Service Department of FORTHNET MEDIA nearest your location or address to our
authorized Distributor/ Retailer in your area .
TERMS OF GUARANTEE
1 . In the event of any fault, malfunction or failure with reference to the whole or a part of the digital satellite decoder,
which has as a consequence its non suitable operation, FORTHNET MEDIA undertakes at its own expenses its repair or
replacement, when the repair is judged unsuccessful .
2 . The guarantee commences from the day of purchase of the device and is valid for 24months .
3 . The guarantee concerns only the digital satellite decoder and not other devices or equipment related to it (TV sets, video
recorders, antennas etc) . In the event that the decoder is connected to a digital satellite dish and cabling that FORTHNET
MEDIA has supplied, then the guarantee covers this equipment too .
4 . The guarantee does not cover damages that are due to misuse or negligence of the subscriber or third parties beyond
the Technician of FORTHNET MEDIA during the operation of the unit or damages that arise from extraordinary weather
phenomena or from phenomena that evolve at the surrounding area (for example, hailstorm, floods, fires etc .) the
occurrence of which does not derive from a real defect of the equipment that FORTHNET MEDIA has supplied or
damages that are due to situations of force majeure .
5 . The guarantee of the digital satellite decoder does not cover wears or damages that occur during the transfer or
transport by another transporter except for FORTHNET MEDIA .
6 . The guarantee ceases to be in effect in the event that the device has been opened or subjected to a repair by a third
party, non-authorized technician other than the appropriately trained Technicians of FORTHNET MEDIA .
7 . Any repair does not extend the time of guarantee of the entire equipment . The spare parts that are possible to be used
by FORTHNET MEDIA or by a Technician of its during the equipment’s repair, bear a separate guarantee of 24 months .
8 . The work and the spare parts (or at our exclusive discretion, the substitute digital satellite decoder in case that the
existing digital satellite decoder is not possible to be repaired) are provided ENTIRELY FREE OF CHARGE .
9 . In the event of an unjustifiable call to a Technician of FORTHNET MEDIA, any transport expenses of the latter burden the
subscriber .
10 . In each contact with the company, you are kindly requested to report the code of the subscriber or the serial number of
your digital satellite decoder .
The as above guarantee applies to the territory of Cyprus only.
PLEASE RETAIN THIS GUARANTEE AS THE GUARANTEE IS VALID ONLY UPON PRESENTATION OF THIS DOCUMENT.
