First 1 Hour Of Operation
Tension And Alignment of the Drive Belts
Power to the Power Sweep is transmitted through a V belt
primary drive. The drive system must be maintained at the
proper belt tension and pulley alignment to obtain the desired
Performance and life. When maintaining the primary belt drive
system, follow this procedure:

ROTATING PART HAZARD KEEP AWAY
To prevent serious injury or death from rotating
augers:
1. Turn machine OFF, shut down and lock out power source,
unplug power cord and wait for all moving parts to stop before
inspecting, servicing or repairing machine.
2. Keep body, hair, and clothing away from moving auger flighting
and moving parts.
3. Do not operate with any guards removed or modified. Keep
guards in good working order. Failure to comply could result
in death or serious injury.
FAILURE TO HEED THIS WARNING MAY CAUSE
SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH.
1. Lay a straight edge across the pulley faces to check the
alignment. Tighten the hub bolts to secure pulley on the
drive shaft. Allow for 1/4" to 3/8" of clearance between
the inside sheave face and shield back.

2. After alignment is established, tighten the sheave bolts
to secure to the shafts.

4. The belts will deflect approximately 1.00” (25 mm) when
properly tensioned.
