As your boat is a self-bailing boat, it should not receive water below decks
under normal circumstances. The bilge pumps are provided as a safety
measure on your boat and should be used if water enters the bilges.
Running the electric bilge pumps dry will damage the pumps.
4.6. STEERING SYSTEM
Please check Specific Information Booklet for type of steering system in
your boat.
In a mechanical steering system, the cable and its connections must be
checked regularly for wear and corrosion. It must be noted that periodical
lubrication of the steering shaft with marine grease will prolong your
steering system’s life and will make it easier to operate.
The hydraulic steering system must be checked periodically for leaks,
corrosion and wear likewise. Check the fluid level periodically.
4.6.A. WITH OPTIONAL CONSOLES ONLY
A mechanical steering system is supplied with your boat. The cable and its
connections must be checked regularly for wear and corrosion. It must be
noted that periodical lubrication of the steering shaft with marine grease
will prolong your steering system’s life and will make it easier to operate.
Alternatively, your boat can be supplied with a hydraulic steering system.
(Optional) A hydraulic system must be checked periodically for leaks,
corrosion and wear too. Check the fluid level periodically.
All the electrical and steering connections must be protected with the use
of protection tube provided with your boat. Leaving these cables, hoses

wear of these parts.
Please check Specific Information Booklet for seat/console options in your
inflatable boat.

an approved fire extinguisher on the holder before using your boat.

4.8. OTHER SPECIFIC INSTALLATIONS
Your boat can be equipped with the following notable equipment as
standard or optional depending on your market.
WC
Some boats are equipped with a WC and waste containment system. The
WC has either the manually operated system, or the electrically operated
system, which draws seawater in through the hull to flush waste water from
the marine toilet. The toilet pumps the waste water into a holding tank.
Manually operated WC:
1. Open the inlet water seacock below the cabin floor.
2. If overboard discharge is to be used, make sure that the “Y” valve
is in the overboard position, and that the macerator discharge
seacock is open.
3. Pump the floor pedal 2-4 times to fill the bowl with water.
4. To flush, depress the foot pedal and operate flush handle next to
WC at the same time. Operate handle until all waste is removed.
