Installation
1. Turn off the power at the main switch in fuse box before beginning the
installation (see fig. 1).
2. Remove the glass shade by holding it at the top and turning it anticlockwise. Note
that the top of the light fitting will come away with the glass shade (see fig. 2).
3. Screw the lamp post to the foundation. The lamp post should always be posi-
tioned where it is stable and not able to be knocked down.
4. Undo the three screws holding the lamp base to the post. Pull the light fitting
and connection block out of the post and connect the electric cable to the ter-
minals as shown in the diagram (see fig. 3). If the electric cable is too thick to
fit two in one strain relief, use two strain reliefs with one cable in each.
There are two earth terminals. If you are using a thin cable, you should use the
earth terminal on the white connection block. If you are using a cable with a braid-
ed earth, you should use another earthing point such as the metal plate that the
strain relief is attached to.
5. Attach the lamp base to the post using the three screws.
Blue (neutral) con-
nects to the terminal
marked “N”.
Brown or black (live)
connect to the “L”
terminal.
Yellow-green (earth)
connects to the screw
