To change flash memory card protection:
1.
Remove the memory card as described on page 6-12 .
2. Adjust the read-write protect switch, which is located on the edge
opposite the INSERT arrow of the memory card
(Figure 6-7) .

Reinsert the memory card into the card receptacle (see Figure 5-2 on
page 5-7).
Removing a Flash Memory Card
To remove a flash memory card from the Passport 5430:
1. Press the eject button next to the card receptacle on the front panel (see
Figure 6-8 on
page 6-13 ).
The card pops out slightly.
2.
Pull the memory card out of the card receptacle.
Caution: Do not remove the flash memory card while the switch is operating
unless you verify that other users are not writing to the flash card.
