Prerequisites to replacement of a failed FP cable
•
Some of the procedures in this task are not located in this NTP. Ensure
you have access to 241-5701-600 Passport 7400, 15000, 20000
Configuration Guide.
•
Unless prefabricated cable assemblies are available from Nortel
Networks, you must provide a custom-made replacement cable
assembly. For cable specifications refer to 241-1501-200 Passport
15000, 20000 Hardware Description.
•
Replacing an FP cable has no effect on Passport 15000 or 20000
performance provided the FP has an in-service redundant FP configured
for equipment protection.

This task flow shows the sequence of procedures you do to replace a failed FP
cable. To link to any procedure, go to “Task flow navigation” (page 91).
