Chapter 6 – Bracing cabinets against
earthquakes
General information
The cabinets must be mounted on the wall in order to meet earthquake
protection requirements.
Earthquake bracing is performed by securely fastening a 3/4 in.(20 mm) sheet
of plywood to the wall, then placing the system components on the backboard
(not attaching them directly to the wall).
