CLI Basics
You can manage the Ethernet Switch 325/425 with a number of management tools
such as:
•
Device Manager (GUI)
•
Web-based management system
•
Console Interface (CI menus)
•
Command Line Interface (CLI)
The Ethernet Switch 325/425 Command Line Interface (CLI) is a management
tool that provides methods for configuring, managing, and monitoring the
operational functions of the switch. You can access CLI through a direct
connection to the switch console port, or remotely using Telnet. For a complete,
alphabetical list of CLI commands, refer to
Appendix E, “Command List,” on
You can use the CLI interactively, or you can load and execute CLI “scripts.” CLI
scripts are loaded in one of the following ways:
•
Entering the
configure network
command
•
Manually loading the script in the console menu
•
Automatically loading the script at boot-up
