12.2 Problems with the device
Symptom Possible cause/remedy
The device cannot be switched on. Charge the battery or connect the power
supply to the radio. Switch on the mains
power switch.
No sound can be heard. Increase the volume. Remove the headphones
plug from the device when you wish to listen
via the speaker. It is possible that the wrong
source has been selected.
Distorted sound can be heard. In the vicinity of the device, a mobile phone or
other device is emitting disruptive radio waves.
Remove the mobile phone or another device
from the vicinity of the device.
Other operational malfunctions occur,
such as loud noises or an impaired
display indicator.
Electronic device components are faulty.
Remove the mains plug and switch off
the mains power switch. Leave the device
disconnected from the power source for 10
seconds. Reconnect the device.
The display does not switch on. Switch the device off. Remove the mains plug,
reinsert it and switch the device on.
Check the display brightness setting.
