PREPARATION FOR OPERATION
We recommend the use of a pre-filter and suction equipment consisting of a suction hose, a suction
strainer and a non-return valve. This will prevent damage to the pump from stones and other solid foreign
objects.
A) GENERAL INFORMATION
The water to be pumped must be clean and clear. Only fine suspended matter is admissible, which may
occur in every normal garden pond. Coarser impurities (leaves, dirt, pebbles etc) clog the suction port of
block the pump.
B) SUCTION PORT
Screw a suction hose onto the suction port. if necessary, seal the screw connection with sealing tape.
The suction hose should feature a suction valve. If the suction valve cannot be used, a non-return valve
should be installed.
Lay the suction hose so that it inclines upwards from the water intake point towards the product. The
suction hose should not lie higher than the product, otherwise air bubbles will form, which will make it
difficult to pump the water.
Make sure that the suction valve of the suction hose is deep enough in the water intake point (at least
10cm below the water surface) so that the product does not run dry when the water level drops.
Make sure that the suction port is completely sealed. Otherwise air is drawn in instead of water.
C) PRESSURE PORT
The pressure hose should be able to withstand the maximum discharge rate of the pump.
If you want to use a pressure hose featuring a quick-release connector, screw the hose adapter into the
pressure port.
Connect a pressure hose to the pressure port.
Open existing locking mechanisms (e.g. spray nozzles, valves) This allows the air present in the suction
line to escape.
