VALET OPERATION
The NS-3003 is equipped with a
protected valet switch
that requires
the presence of the vehicle keys in order to place the system into valet
mode.
When in VALET mode the system is will not remote start, however
the door lock and trunk control will still operate. Make note that the
starter kill will also be disabled in valet mode.
To place the system IN or OUT of VALET mode you must turn the
key to the ignition position, wait 2 sec then press and hold valet for 3
sec, or until you get one chirp from the siren.
NOTE:
When the system is in VALET-MODE the L.E.D
will remain illuminated constantly
.
•

OFF).
•
GETTING INTO VALET MODE
(1) Turn key to the ignition position
(2)
Press and hold valet switch for 3 seconds. (L.E.D becomes solid
ON when system is in valet mode)
NOTE: If the hood is raised when in VALET mode the L.E.D is
disabled L.E.D is re-enabled when the hood is closed.
IDLE MODE
When programmed, this option allows the user to engage the remote
starter to take over the vehicle while it is already running.
This is a great feature to have activated for those short pit-stops in the
dead of winter when you would rather not shut off the engine. With
Idle mode you can tell the system to keep the vehicle running for the
pre-programmed run time or until shut down by remote control; this
will keep your vehicle totally warm at all times.
Remember that once you’ve activated Idle mode you can leave the
vehicle and lock the doors by remote, regardless of whether you return
to your car it will shut off by itself.
•
To activate Idle mode you must do the following:
1.
With vehicle running, press any button on the transmitter
until the parking lights come on.
2.
Remove the key and exit the vehicle.
3.
Lock doors. Vehicle will stay running for the pre-
programmed run time.
STARTER DISABLE
Among the many features on the NS-3003, is the starter disable circuit,
that will immobilize the vehicle when the system is armed. (If
installed)
The system, when armed, will control a relay that will physically
interrupt the vehicle starter wire and prevent the hot-wiring of your
vehicle. The system is selectable, PASSIVE or ACTIVE arming; this
means that you can have the unit ARM itself (PASSIVE) after a pre-
programmed period of time 1min. or 3 min, or you can have control
over the system (ACTIVE) such that it will never ARM itself.
Note that when the system is armed, the vehicle will not start
with the key unless the system has been disarmed.
NOTE: L.E.D will always display alarm condition. (Armed
or Disarmed)
TO ARM THE STARTER DISABLE:
•
Lock the doors by remote or wait the timeout period in
PASSIVE ARM mode. The system is ARMED
automatically when the doors are locked by remote.
TO DISARM THE STARTER DISABLE:
•
Unlock the doors by remote or place the unit into VALET
mode. (See VALET operation.)
