Safety Instructions
Please carefully read all the following information, it contains important
instructions for the safety, the use and the maintenance of the appliance. Take
good care of the operating instructions and pass them onto any future owner.
Repairs on electrical appliances must be made by trained technicians only.
Improper repairs can lead to considerable hazards for the user. The manufacturer
shall not be liable for any damage which is caused by improper use or incorrect
operation. The user of the appliance is urgently requested to observe the following
instructions.
WARNING !
Do not use this appliance near bathtubs,
showers, basins or other vessels containing water.
- When the appliance is used in a bathroom, unplug it after use since the proximity
of water presents a hazard even when the appliance is switched off.
- For additional protection, the installation of a residual current device (RCD)
having a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA is advisable in the
electrical circuit supplying the bathroom. Ask your installer for advise.
- Do not use if there are any visible signs of damage to the appliance.
- Always ensure that your power supply voltage matches this appliance’s rating
label.
- Do not place the appliance in humid environments or in places near water or
other liquids, such as a bathtubs, washbasins, etc., otherwise the insulator of the
appliance may be damaged resulting in electric shock.
- This appliance is equipped with a thermostat that will cycle OFF if the
temperature exceeds the comfort level. When overheated for instance by
covering the air inlet and outlet – the appliance switches off automatically and
switches back on again after cooling off for a few minutes.
Avoid obstructing the
air inlet and the air outlet. Make sure that the air inlet and air outlet are free
when using the appliance.
- Always unplug the appliance when not in use.
- Do not pull on the mains cable, but rather on the plug, to separate the appliance
from the mains socket.
- Do not pull the mains cable over sharp edges or use it for carrying.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
Do not place the appliance in places that are easy to reach by children.
- Disconnect the appliance from the mains socket before cleaning. Clean the
appliance with a dry or moist cloth only. Never immerse the appliance into water.
- If the mains cable is damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturer,its service
agent, or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of
the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall
not play with the appliance.

- CAUTION: In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the thermal
cutout, this appliance must not be supplied through an external switching
device, such a timer, or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and
off by the utility;
- For household indoor use only.
Selecting voltage
1. Check local supply voltage with your voltage selections on your hair dryer.
2. Select the voltage (230V or 115V) corresponding to supply voltage in the voltage
selector by tools (e.g. screw driver or a piece of coin).
