Abstract

Overview:
This site provides the user with the highlights and the accessories of the Nokia mobile
phones currently available, where items can be purchased, and also offers a glimpse of the
new models being brought out. The user will also be able to search for ringtones they can
compose into their own phones.
Analysis

Purpose:
The site will showcase Nokia’s wide variety of phones, allowing the user to decide which
mobile phone best suits their needs. The user is also given the option of personalising their
phone with ringtones and accessories.

Audience:
Generally the 18-30+ age group, but the site is mainly aimed at users who are actively
seeking an uncomplicated and practical form of portable communication for the new
century. The site can also be an informative guide for users who are unfamiliar with mobile
phones
•
Content:
Welcome/home page: links to the four main pages, as well as a general welcome
to the user as they enter the site
Phone Guide: a list of phone models, each linking to a new page, which will
examine the specifications and features of the unit selected
Accessories page: outlining general accessories such as battery chargers and handsfree
kits, and links to sites where they can be purchased, as well as a list of stores in Cairns
that sell Nokia merchandise
Upcoming Models page: links to brief looks at the next range of mobile phones arriving in
the new season;
Search Ringtones page: the user can type in a song name, searching for a ringtone that
s/he can compose into their phone; or they can simply browse through the list

Navigation:
A navigation bar resembling a mobile phone will remain identical on each
page, as well as the Nokia logo below it, linking to the official site. A set of Back and
Forward buttons will also appear on every page, allowing the user to scan through the site
without clicking on the other links.

Testing:
This project will be tested by a variety of people, including those accustomed to the use of
mobile phones and computers, and also people who are unfamiliar with the technology,
his is to ensure that the site caters to all probable users.
