5. Messaging
To open the
Messaging
menu, select

. You can see the
New
message
function and a list of default folders:
Inbox
— contains received messages except e-mail and cell broadcast
messages. When there are unread messages in the inbox, the icon changes to
.
To open a received message, select
Menu
>
Messaging
>
Inbox
and the desired
message.
My folders
— for organizing your messages into folders. You can create new
folders, rename and delete folders.
Mailbox
— for connecting to your remote mailbox to retrieve your new e-mail
messages or viewing your previously retrieved e-mail messages offline. After you
define settings for a new mailbox, the name given to that mailbox is displayed
instead of
Mailbox
.
Before you can send, receive, retrieve, reply to, and forward e-mail to a separate
e-mail account, you must configure an internet access point (IAP), see
“Connection,” p. 47, and define your e-mail settings, see “E-mail settings,” p. 30.
Drafts
— saves draft messages that have not been sent
Sent
— saves the messages that are sent, excluding messages sent using
Bluetooth
Outbox
— temporarily saves the messages waiting to be sent
Reports
(network service) — saves the delivery reports of sent messages
