Nokia 500s Installation Guide

To connect directly to a host, use an RJ-45 crossover cable wired as 

Figure 19

 

shows.

Note

After you turn on the appliance, the Ethernet link LEDs on both the 
appliance and on the remote equipment illuminate to indicate the 
connection. As data is transmitted or received, the activity LEDs on the 
appliance illuminate.

To connect the 500s appliance to other network components, you can order 
appropriate adapter cables separately from a cable vendor of your choice.
