Write a message.
For each character, press one of the keys
to
as many times as necessary:
Once for the first character, twice for the
second (before the cursor appears), and so
on.
For example, to key in letter “S”, press
quickly four times.
For more information, see ‘Storing a phone number with a name’
on page 24.

To send the message, press
(
Options
) and select
Send
or
Send
by
set
.
Using predictive text input
The predictive text input allows you to enter text quickly.
Unlike in traditional text input, you only need to press the key with
the corresponding letter once.
This input method is based on a built-in dictionary to which you can
also add new words.
Note:
Predictive text input may not be available in the
language that you have selected for display texts.
Writing words by using predictive text input
Before you start writing a message, check that the
symbol is
shown at the top of the display. This symbol indicates that you are
using the predictive text input.

Start writing a word by using the keys
to
. Press each
key only once for one letter.
To
write
for
instance
‘nokia’,
press .
The characters that you enter appear underlined.
The word changes after each keystroke. Therefore you shouldn't
pay too much attention to how the word appears on the display
until you have pressed all the appropriate keys.
