Focussing
On a telescope, use the focussing element provided therefore.
Connecting Options for Filters and Accessories
If you want to use the integrated
M42x0.75 and M48x0.75 connecting
threads, you need to unscrew the
mounting ring of the eyecup (with
the eyecup not put over) and pull
both the ring and eyecup off the
eyepiece.
After use, slide the eyecup up to the
stop over the smaller M42x0.75
connecting
thread
and
firmly
retighten the mounting ring. What
has proved to be the simplest
solution here is the combination
shown in the figure at the left where
the mounting ring is placed in the
centre of the eyepiece and slid
together with it onto the eyepiece.
In this plug-on eyepiece version, a M28.5x0.5 filter thread on the side facing the lens
is available.
CAUTION
Avoid the use of filters for looking into intense radiation, as the filter might burst due
to the radiation energy.
Maintenance and Care
For cleaning the optics, use spectacle cleaning cloths in connection with pure
alcohol, if any.
