5.4 Principle of air purification
The appliance sucks in air from the rear, where the pre-filter catches the gross impurities such
as hair, fur, and other large particles. Next the air passes through the layer of the HEPA filter,
which catches even microscopic particles such as mites, pollen, large smoke particles, etc.
When using the AP 2145HCT filter (part of the pack), the air is additionally cleaned through a
layer of high-quality activated carbon, which traps smells, smoke, formaldehyde, etc. The final
layer is the photocatalytic filter, in which all types of potential biological material not captured
by the HEPA filter are broken down into water and carbon dioxide with the help of UV
radiation.
