Gear oil replacement
1. Set the scooter on the centre stand on a level surface.
2. Remove the filling bolt

and the drain bolt

3. It is better to replace the gear oil when the engine is warm, as it will be
easier to drain out the residue of the gear oil.
4. After the gear oil has been drained out completely, clean the drain bolt
and tighten it.
5. Pour about 100ml of new gear oil.
6. Tighten the filling bolt to prevent the gear oil from flowing out.
7. For a new scooter, replace the gear oil after the first 500 km. After that, replace every year or every
6000 km.

ATTENTION:
-‐ This work should only be done at an authorised Nipponia service point.
-‐ Replace the gear oil while the engine is warm and with the scooter set on a level surface to ensure that the oil
drains out completely.
-‐ Replace the gear oil more frequently than recommended in the following conditions:
1: Frequent use in wet weather
2: Prolonged riding time
3: Riding with a loaded scooter
