MAINTENANCE WORK
Mercury has stuck to the removed ZERO filter. If it is discarded
inadequately, environmental pollution or personal damage may
result.
Dispose of it according to the regulations or rules of the local
government.
When the threshold of the ZERO filter (80 μg) has been exceeded, replace it.
If a warning is issued during a measurement, suspend the measurement immediately and
replace the filter.

Open the bottom cover of the EMP-3.

Remove the ZERO filter.

Dispose of the removed ZERO filter as mercury waste.
The concentration of mercury that has stuck to the adsorbent is approximately 400
mg/kg or more.

Insert a new ZERO filter. (Insert a new ZERO filter securely. If it has not been inserted
securely, it may cause a leak and correct measurement values may not be obtained.)
(4)
When the instrument has not been turned on, turn it on.
(5)
Press “MENU” and then “Maintenance”.
