1. APPLICATION
The two-pipe hoses, for gases in welding and manual oxyfuel applications, have the mission of
driving each of the gases, fuel and comburent, safely and tightly, from the outlet of the regulators
to the entrance of the torch.
2. CHARACTERISTICS AND MARKING
The NIPPON GASES hoses comply with the EN ISO 3821 standard and are marked according to
this standard:
- Standard: EN ISO 3821
- Maximum service pressure: 20 BAR
- Inner diameter: 8 mm
- Brand: NIPPON GASES
- Year of manufacture: MMYY
- Name of the gas for which each hose is specified.
3. IDENTIFICATION COLORS
The Standard EN ISO 3821, specifies that the hoses, depending on the fluid to which they are
destined, are differentiated for greater safety, by the color of the outer lining:
- Oxygen Hoses: Blue color
- Acetylene hoses: Red color (for EP-40)
- Propane / Butane Hoses: Orange color (for EP-40-B)
Input couplings. It complies with ISO 3235. For oxygen R1 / 4 "with marking on the OXY fitting, for
fuel gas R3 / 8" left. with mark on the GAS fitting.
Connect the hose and check tightness
− Oxygen (blue hose) – R 1/4" RH.
− Acetylene (red hose) – R 3/8" LH.
− Propane (Orange hose) – R 3/8" LH.
