The horizontal axis is the particle size value, the value is logarithmic
distribution;The left vertical axis is the cumulative percentage of the volume,
corresponding to the rising trend of the curve.

The small particle size (MMAD) for 50% cumulative particle mass indicates that
the particle sizes at the aerosol from the nebulizer outlet can reach the lower
airways.
➢
In the nebulizer, the particles in the range of 5
μ
m
constitute approximately 70% of the
aerosol output and more.
➢
GSD shows aerodynamic particle size distribution and is calculated as 2.32 and 2.20 for
nebulizer.
