At the zoom position where

and the zoom indicator light in
green, the camera can focus on
subjects as close as about 20 cm ( 8 in.) or farther from the lens.
At a wider-angle zoom position than that indicated by
G
, it
can focus on subjects as close as about 5 cm (2 in.) or farther
from the lens.
Touch shooting
: At default settings, you can take pictures
simply by tapping subjects in the display (
25). If faces are
detected, you can focus and take pictures by tapping inside the
double borders.
Sleep
: If no operations are performed for a set period, the
display will turn off and the power-on lamp will flash. Pressing
the shutter-release button, power switch, or
c
button
reactivates the display. If no operations are performed for an
additional three minutes, the camera will turn off.
