Taking Pictures for a Panorama
The camera focuses on the subject in the center of frame. Use a tripod for best
results. Set

when using a tripod to stabilize
the camera during shooting.

Use the rotary multi selector to choose

Panorama assist
in the scene menu and
press the

) icon is displayed to show the direction in which
pictures will be joined.

Use the rotary multi selector to choose the
direction and press the
k
button.
•
Select how pictures will be joined together in the
completed panorama; right (

), left (

), up (

) or
down (

).
•
The yellow panorama direction icon (

) will move to
the direction pressed and press the

button to
choose the direction. A white panorama direction icon (

) will be displayed in the
chosen direction.
•
Apply flash mode (

30), self-timer (

33) and exposure
compensation (

34) settings with this step, if necessary.
•
Press the

button to reselect the direction.

Shoot the first picture.
•
The picture taken will be displayed in 1/3 of
the monitor.

Shoot the second picture.
•
Compose the next picture so that it overlaps
the first picture.
•
Repeat until you have taken the necessary
number of pictures to complete the scene.
