3. INSTALLATION
3.1. Location
The motion sensors respond to heat and differences in movement in
relation to the surroundings. The motion sensors are most sensitive
for movements perpendicular to the detection beams (fig.1a,b &
2a,b). Avoid locating the motion sensor close to ‘heat sources’:
cookers, electric radiators, ventilation systems... as this can result
in undesirable activation of the motion sensors (fig.3). In case of
outdoor installation, the sensor has to be fitted with a protective
(IP54) cap (390-20010) (fig.4). Bear in mind that partitions, glass,
plants, furniture … block the ‘beams’ (fig.5a,b).
