1. DESCRIPTION
The
video receiver
is a flush-mounting module that converts a Niko Access Control video
signal into a video signal for a coaxial system (CVBS). This module is used to connect a TV
or monitor to a Niko Access Control system via a coaxial cable (75 Ω). After connection,
the required image will appear on the TV or monitor.

Video receiver
The video receiver is connected to a videophone installation using
6-wire cabling
. Use
a
twisted cable
for optimal video image quality. Also pay attention to the diameter of the
wires in the cable, as this determines the
maximum distance that can be covered
between the power supply and the video receiver.
Niko recommends using the following
cables
to install the video receiver:
• JYSTY (-F2) min. 3 x 2 x 0.8 mm (max. distance 200 m)
• TVVF (-F2) min. 3 x 2 x 0.8 mm (max. distance 200 m)
• TPVF min. 3 x 2 x 0.6 mm (max. distance 100 m)
• UTP/FTP/STP 4 x 2 x 0.5 mm (max. distance 70 m)
Function of the wires to be connected:

: communication bus (24 Vdc)

: extra power supply (26 Vdc)
The video receiver is also equipped with a
double-pole screw terminal
for connection
to a TV or monitor.
Attention:
Disconnect all power before installing the video receiver. Do not connect the
unit to the power supply until installation is completed.
