The gearmotors to which this instruction booklet refers are 
designed for operating sectional doors balanced with springs 
or weights. If these products are to be used for different 
applications, it is recommended to first discuss them with 
the Manufacturer.
The declaration loses its validity if the gearmotor is modified 
(e.g. wiring reversal). 

•  CAUTION!  –  This  manual  contains  instructions  and 

 

 

information of fundamental importance regarding safety.  

  Incorrect installation could result in injuries, even very  

 

serious. Carefully read the instruction manual before you  

 

start working. In the case of doubt, immediately interrupt  

 

the installation operations and contact the Nice Technical  

  Assistance Department to receive explanations and 

 

 clarifications.

•  CAUTION!  –  Important  instruction:  this  manual  is  to  be 

 

  carefully preserved for maintenance operations and 

 

 

product disposal.

•  CAUTION!  –  According  to  the  most  recent  European 

 

 

laws, the doors, main doors and automatic gateways must  

 

be made according to the rules found in Directive 2006/42/ 

  EEC (previously 98/37/EEC, "Machinery Directive"), and  

 

in particular must meet the EN 12445, EN 12453, EN 12635  

 

and EN 13241-1 standards that define the preconditions  

 

for compliance of the system including the door. In this  

 

sense execution of all installation and wiring works, final  

  inspection and maintenance operations are appointed 

 

 

only to skilled and appropriately qualified technicians.

•  Make  sure  that  the  product  is  actually  suitable  for  its 

 

 

intended use before starting the installation works. 

 

If it is not, installation must absolutely NOT be carried out.

•  The contents of this manual refer to a system of the type 

 

 

described hereunder.

•  All  installation  works  and  maintenance  operations  are 

 

  to be performed with the gearmotor and control device  
  at zero voltage. If the separation device is not visible  
  from the point where the control device and gearmotor  
  are respectively housed, place a sign with the wording  

 

"CAUTION!  MAINTENANCE  IN  PROGRESS"  on  the 

 

 

separation device before starting works.

•  The control device is to be connected to an electric line 

 

 

having a good quality earth connection.

•  The  product  is  to  be  handled  with  extreme  care  and 

 

  caution during installation operations to prevent 

 

 

contusions, blows, falls or contact with liquid substances.  

  Avoid exposing the product to direct flames or other  
  sources of heat to prevent damages, operation 

 

 

disturbances or dangerous situations in general. If this is  

 

inevitable, immediately interrupt the installation operations  

 

and contact the Nice Technical Assistance Department.

•  Do  not  introduce  modifications  to  product  components. 

 

 

Any operations not allowed might cause inconveniences,  

  even significant. The Manufacturer declines all 

 

  responsibility for any modification arbitrarily introduced  
 

to the product.

•  The automatic main doors with built-in pedestrian service 

 

  door are to be equipped with a control system that 

 

  prevents the motor from starting when the pedestrian  
 

door is open. 

•  The  packing  material  of  the  product  is  to  be  disposed 

 

  of according to the current regulations at the place of  
 installation.

Instructions for use

•  The  product  must  be  operated  only  by  adults  free  of 

 

  physical, psychic or perceptive disabilities that have the  
 

necessary experience and knowledge. 

•  Carefully  pay  attention  to  children  near  the  door,  and 

 

 

prevent them from playing with it.

•   Ensure  that  children  cannot  play  with  the  fixed  control 

 

 

devices of the door. 

 

Keep the operation remote control of the door out of the  

 

reach of children.
