NI-DCPower Cal Adjust Voltage Level VI Block Diagram
After all test points are measured for a range, call the niDCPower Cal Adjust Voltage Level VI
or the
niDCPower_CalAdjustVoltageLevel
function to calculate updated calibration
coefficients. Refer to Table 20 for parameters similar to adjustment applications for this VI.
Refer to the
NI DC Power Supplies and SMUs Help
for more information about programming
references common to many VIs within the NI-DCPower API.
After the new coefficients are calculated, commit them to the hardware using the process
described in the
section.
Adjusting Current Output
To adjust current output of a calibrated NI PXIe-4154, compare a set of requested current test
points to measurements of the actual current at the output by a DMM/precision shunt. Refer to
Figure 3 for a connection diagram with a
100 m
Ω
precision shunt. Refer to Figure 4 for a
connection diagram with a
100
Ω
precision shunt.
Refer to Table 21 for a list of current test points that you must request and measure for each
range. For example, the 30 mA range on Channel 0 requires the adjustment application to
acquire data from ten test points using an external DMM/precision shunt with the voltage set to
maximum value. To calculate the current value using the DMM/precision shunt, divide the
voltage measured with the DMM by the characterized value of the precision shunt.
