NI PXIe-4154 Calibration Procedure
Output Resistance Verification (Channel 0 Only)
To verify the output resistance of an NI PXIe-4154, compare a range of requested resistance test
points to measurements of the actual resistance at output. Calculate using two external DMMs
and a 100 m
Ω
precision shunt. Refer to Figure 7 for a connection diagram.

Note
Use twisted-pair cables for connections from and Output - to the
electronic load. Refer to Figure 1 for a connection diagram. Use short wires to jumper
Sense + to , and Sense - to Output -.
Refer to Table 6 for a list of output resistance test points that you must request and measure with
two external DMMs to complete verification. For example, program the verification application
to separately request -0.04

outputs from the
NI PXIe-4154. Configure the NI PXIe-4154 to output 4 V with a current limit of 3 A.
Note
After requesting a new output resistance, wait one second to take a
measurement with the external DMMs to ensure the system has adequate time to
settle.
