9. Access the Titles player, and click the “ Breaking News.CGXML ” icon you added to the
playlist from the Practice Sessions folder, back in Section 4.9.
10. Edit the top line in the title to say “5 Day Forecast”, as shown in Figure 67.
11. Select Titles as the Overlay source in the V1 tab, and Activate the Virtual Input’s overlay
channel using the button beneath.
As you can see, we have fully replicated our earlier composition (which relied on the Effects
channel), but with added benefits:

The currently selected title page already will be displayed when you select V1 on the
Switcher.

Virtual Inputs all you to offset (and even scale) the primary video source – of course
this works every bit as well will live camera streams.
As well, since the entire composition is now represented by a single button on the Switcher, it is
very easy to
Take or Transition directly to it with a single click – and it is just as easy to Transition
from one Virtual Input to another.
Of course, this is just one way to use the basic Virtual Input features. The creative possibilities
are endless. For example, Figure 68 shows Input A (with LiveMatte enabled) keyed over Input B ,
with the Virtual Input’s integrated Overlay channel use to add a PiP (Picture in Picture) effect.
