Access the Scanner with Your Program
1. Use CreateFile to access the scanner as a HID device.
2. Use ReadFile to deliver the scanned data to the application program.
3. Use WriteFile to send data to the scanner.

Acquire Scanned Data
After a barcode is decoded, the scanner sends an input report as below:

VID/PID
USB uses VID (Vendor ID) and PID (Product ID) to identify and locate a device. The VID is assigned by
USB Implementers Forum.
Newland’s vendor ID is 1EAB (Hex). A range of PIDs are used for each
Newland product family. Every PID contains a base number and interface type (keyboard, COM port,
etc.).
