IP Information
The second screen in the Quick Configuration procedure is the IP Information Screen, as
illustrated in
Figure 4-3 .

To provide the information on this screen you need to know how your ISP assigns IP addresses.
Refer to Chapter 1 of the Reference Guide for the Model RT328 ISDN Router for more information
about IP addresses.
Select one set of instructions from the following situations and responses:
• Your ISP assigned a range of IP addresses.
The IP address you entered when you started FirstGear appears in the Assigned IP Address
field.
• Your ISP assigned one fixed IP address.
You must use the NAT feature of your Model RT328 router. You must enter that fixed IP
address in the Assigned IP Address field. This address is different from the LAN IP address
you entered when you started FirstGear.
